All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday predicted that a massive jolt would hit the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary V Hanumantha Rao on Wednesday predicted that a massive jolt would hit the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Addressing the media, he said that the government has not been giving due respect to the rights of the people of backward classes. He said that even six months after the rape and murder incidents in Hajipur village, the government failed to act. He said that though the present Municipal Administration Minister reacted on the incidents three months ago, no action has been taken.
He pointed out that those who died in Hajipur belong to the BCs and it seems that the government has no regard for them. He made it clear that the BCs have self respect.
Hanumantha Rao said that the Congress was not craving for powers but for the justice. He wondered why those who got the government positions have not been responding on the Hajipur issue.
The former MP wanted to know as to whether the TS government accepts that the State was number one in atrocities in women as it has been boosting that it was on the top in many sectors.
He said that they would support Mohammad Azharuddin in the contest for the president of Hyderabad Cricket Association. He made it clear justice would be done to the game if sportsperson is installed in the office of HCA president.
