Sircilla: The grant of Rs one lakh for BC and MBC castes will not stop with 600 people but will be continued till every eligible person gets financial assistance, said Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao.

He distributed BC Bandhu cheques to 600 beneficiaries in the form of a grant of Rs one lakh to BC and MBC castes in Sircilla and Vemulawada constituencies here on Tuesday. The past nine years has been a golden era for welfare of the poor

Chief Minister KCR has taken many welfare programmes starting from the KCR kit given at birth to Aasara pensions given in old age. The state government has implemented many programs to help the poor.

The Chief Minister introduced Dalit Bandhu with the intention of breaking the poverty and make Dalits rich. A grant scheme of Rs one lakh has been introduced for BC and MBC caste professions for the upliftment of the downtrodden sections of the BCs, he said.

Chief Minister KCR, he said, is a kind hearted person who provided Kalyana Lakshmi to 12 lakh girls across the state for the marriage of poor girls. The Chief Minister is going to start a medical college in Sircilla soon. Treatment for all diseases will be provided and 150 doctors will be available continuously, Rama Rao said.

He said that the financial assistance provided under BC Bandhu is only a grant and you do not need to pay again. Financial assistance for the construction of houses under Gruha Lakshmi will be given at the rate of 3,000 per constituency, and it will start from Tuesday in the district.
