With the aim to help the COVID-19 affected families, a city-based based NGO named ‘Art for Cause' started their initiative providing a platform to collate COVID-19 inspired creative work in various genres of art like paintings, short films, poems or photography which will be put up in an exhibition to raise funds by the NGO.

Hyderabad: With the aim to help the COVID-19 affected families, a city-based based NGO named 'Art for Cause' started their initiative providing a platform to collate COVID-19 inspired creative work in various genres of art like paintings, short films, poems or photography which will be put up in an exhibition to raise funds by the NGO.

The initiative has received a good response but the founders want it to reach more individuals in India as well as overseas. So far they have received more than 100 entries along with entries from around the world including the United States of America and England. The entries can be sent till 30 June. Interested people can buy the artworks and 50 percent from the amount will be used to help the COVID affected families and rest 50 percent will be given to the artist.

Amita Talwar, founder of the NGO said, "We are very quality conscious and are taking entries that are worth being displayed and are worth buying. We are selecting artworks purely on aesthetic basis the art be it anything has to be up to the mark to be displayed. We are not looking for quantity, we are looking for quality."

Once they have around 30 to 40 artists to feature they will display their artworks on their website and later in an online or offline exhibition.
