The celebrations of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 at the Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) concluded on a high note on Friday.

Hyderabad: The celebrations of the Vigilance Awareness Week 2019 at the Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) concluded on a high note on Friday. Additional DG of Police (Retd) VV Lakshmi Narayana attended the valedictory function as the chief guest.

As a part of the event, 'Gram Sabha' was held at Nandigama Village on November 1. Dr Vennam Upender, chief vigilance officer, BDL, and S Khanapet, executive director (Bhanur Unit), BDL, interacted with the local residents and sensitised them on the ill-effects of corruption.

'Integrity Club' was inaugurated at DAV BDL Public School, Bhanur, as a part of celebrations, where a display of 'Quotes of Mahatma Gandhi – A Philatelic Tribute,' prepared by Dr Vennam Upender was organised. The club was inaugurated by VV Lakshmi Narayana and Siddharth Mishra (Retd), CMD, BDL.

Another highlight of this year's vigilance awareness week celebrations was the release of 'Vigilance Compendium – 2019' by the Chief Guest. Siddharth Mishra released the CD of the compendium.

Throughout the awareness week, essay writing competition on topic, 'Integrity – a Way of Life' and slogan writing competition on 'Ethical Living' were held for employees of the company to spread vigilance awareness.

Poster making competition on the topic, 'My Idea of Corruption Free Society' and essay writing competition on the topic, 'How to make our Country Corruption Free' were held for school children and college students. Later, prizes were distributed to the winners by the chief guest of honor.
