The district medical and health officials conducted an awareness programme on leprosy in several schools on Monday. The programme was conducted as part of leprosy eradication programme from January 30 to February 13.
Vikarabad: The district medical and health officials conducted an awareness programme on leprosy in several schools on Monday. The programme was conducted as part of leprosy eradication programme from January 30 to February 13. DMHO Dr Dasharath said that the disease could be prevented and any chances of deformities of organs can be averted, if it was diagnosed at earlier stage. He administered the oath to prevent leprosy.
Dr Dasharadh said, awareness camps will be held in all villages everyday and the people with the disease will also be identified. We can eradicate this disease with collective efforts, he added. DPMO Santhosh, Balachandar, staff of the school were also present.
