Vikarabad: The Vikarabad municipality achieved ODF + status in Swachh Bharat programme. The Quality Control of India conducted a third-party inspection on August 9 and 10 and declared the town as ODF+.

The status was given based on constructing 100 percent individual toilets, public and community toilets and levying penalty on defaulters to maintain cleanliness, apart from treating sewerage water.
