Vikarabad: Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said Chief Minister KCR has been developing the state with his wisdom which he gained through voracious reading. "No CM can compete with him in terms of knowledge," she added.

She assured to develop a park in 16 acres at Vikarabad and said would take up a proposal to set up a study circle and a degree college to the Chief Minister. She was participating as the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony of 52nd Library Week celebrations here on Wednesday. ZP Chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy said the government would try to set up libraries in all villages.

Sarpanches of respective villages should take responsibility to make all kinds of books available in the libraries. MLA Dr M Anand said the government was providing quality education through Gurukuls and the credit should go to the Chief Minister. Chevella MLA Kale Yadaiah said the libraries were of a great help to the unemployed in helping them prepare for competitive examinations.

Granthalay chairman Kondal Reddy said they had offered coaching to 570 youth, of whom 120 secured jobs. "We procured books worth Rs 7 lakh," he informed. Guests distributed prizes to winners in the various competitions organized during the week. Bithiri Sathi and Mangli enthralled the visitors with their performances and film director Shankar was also present.
