Wanaparthy: Body of missing man surfaces in PJP canal
The body of a man, who was reported missing two days ago, surfaced in Priyadarshini Jurala Project Canal on Tuesday.

According to sources, Bhagavan (45), a resident of Pebbair mandal, was reported to have been missing since August 10 and a complaint was also lodged in Pebbair police station. However, on Tuesday, some villagers of Chelamilla found a floating body in the PJP project canal and immediately informed the police. The police rushed to the canal and with the help of local fished out the dead body and sent to Pebbair government hospital for post-mortem.
According to Pebbair Sub-Inspector Vijay Kumar, the police have registered a case and investigating the matter. "We have finally found the body of the missing man in the PJP canal today. A case has been registered and investigation is going on," informed the SI.
It is suspected that the man could have been first murdered and later dumped into the canal. However, the Pebbair police are investigating the case from all angles.
