Wardhannapet: STO officials land in ACB trap

Wardhannapet (Warangal Rural): The ACB sleuths caught Wardhnannapet Sub-Treasury Officer (STO) Thota Vikram Kumar and junior assistant Sheikh Nazeer red-handed while they were accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 at the STO here on Saturday.
According to the ACB officials, the STO demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from V Sriramulu, a retired EO in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development department to get his file pertaining to his pension and gratuity processed.
The ACB Deputy Superintendent of Police S Pratap said that they had arrested the duo and they will be produced before the special Judge for the Special Police Establishment (SPE) and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases in Hyderabad.
