Woman held for defaming another woman on FB in Hyderabad
The sleuths of Cyber Crime Police Station, Rachakonda on Wednesday arrested a woman for sharing objectionable and abusive photos of the victim on social media to defame her.
Hyderabad: The sleuths of Cyber Crime Police Station, Rachakonda on Wednesday arrested a woman for sharing objectionable and abusive photos of the victim on social media to defame her. The accused has been identified as P Raja Chandrika (41) and is working as a Childline mandal co-ordinator at Markapuram of Prakasham district.
According to police, the victim woman from Neredmet had lodged a complaint in which she stated harassment in electronic form and stalking by the accused. She stated that she shared objectionable and abusive photos of the victim on Facebook.
On receipt of the complaint, police registered a case under sections 417,419,509 IPC and 66 C& D of IT Act and took up investigation. Police connecting dots, arrested the accused who is the resident of Chinaganukapalem, Addanki, Prakasham district.
On thorough investigation the accused confessed that that in the year 2016 due to a tiff between them, the accused bore grudge on the victim and started posting the photos of the victim by creating three fake profiles on Facebook and later started posting photos of the victim and sending abusive messages to the victim and latter's friends and family to defame the character of the victim.
