Hyderabad: Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan greeted women of the state on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8 (Sunday). "On the occasion of International Women's Day, I convey my best wishes to the women of Telangana State.
Women in our country have always played great role in the nation building, in maintaining national integrity, peace and harmony. They have always been an inspiration to the society," she said in a message issued by Raj Bhavan office.
In our society, women undisputedly play a pivotal role in the family tradition as well as in nation building. They shoulder greater responsibilities with forbearance, which indeed is a God given gift to them, the Governor said.
