Wrestling contest from March 29 in Patancheru
All arrangements have been done for holding wrestling competitions, being held in Patancheru Industrial Estate from March 29, after a long gap of 30 years, said local MLA Gudem Mahipal Reddy on Tuesday.

Reddy was speaking after inspecting the venue for the competition (Dangal) being jointly organised by MDR Yuva Sena and Hanuman Vyayam Shalau, along with former Sarpanch Devender Raju and GHMC officials. Reddy said it was a matter of pleasure that wrestling competition was being conducted locally after 30 years.
He asked the GHMC officials to make fool-proof arrangements so that the participants do not face any inconvenience. According to the MLA, pahalwans from Hyderabad, Zaheerabab, Kohir and several Telangana districts would take part in the competition. He advised youth to show interest in the wrestling competition and in taking up physical exercises and be fit.
