A youth from Chitkul village in Patancheru mandal, Gouri Shankar, on Friday donated Rs 2 lakh for a 30-day rural development plan of action being taken up by Sarpanch Madhu Mudiraj following the initiative of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Patancheru: A youth from Chitkul village in Patancheru mandal, Gouri Shankar, on Friday donated Rs 2 lakh for a 30-day rural development plan of action being taken up by Sarpanch Madhu Mudiraj following the initiative of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Gouri Shankar, who runs a provision store, has been inspired by KCR's plan to develop villages. He handed over the cheque for Rs 2 lakh at the 'gram sabha' in the presence of people's representatives.

Gouri Shankar told The Hans India that he was happy to offer a part of his earnings for rural development as envisaged by KCR. The sarpanch, along with other speakers, lauded the gesture of Gouri Shankar for participating in development of villages.
