Telangana: ZTPC, MPTC polls to be held in three phases
Election schedule for MPTC and ZPTC was announced on Sunday and the elections will be conducted in three phases. The notification is being issued from Monday to April 30 in three phases and the elections will be conducted in three phases on May 6, 10 and 14.

State Elections Commissioner V Nagi Reddy informed that counting will be held on May 27 after the results of Lok Sabha elections. The elections for 18 ZPTC and 221 MPTC seats will be conducted. A total of 2,09,911 voters will exercise their franchise.
Elections for seven mandals out of 18 mandals will be conducted in the first phase followed by four mandals in the second phase and remaining in the third phase.
Kodangal, Bomraspet, Daultabad, Parigi and Doma of Vikarabad division to face elections in first phase as elections for seven ZPTCs and 97 MPTCs will be conducted. A total of 516 polling centres are being arranged for the election.
The nominations are being received till April 24 and applications are verified on April 25. Objections received till April 26 and withdrawal of candidature is allowed on April 28 and the elections will be conducted on May 06.
A total of 609 PO and as many as 609 APOs and 2,436 polling staff are going to perform their duties. Yalal, Tandur, Basheerbad and Peddemul of Tandur revenue division to face second phase elections. Elections for 53 MPTCs and four ZPTCs will be conducted.

As many as 492 APOs, 492 POs and 1968 election staff will discharge their duties. District officials are busy in making arrangements in view of the elections and about 5,898 government employees will be discharging their duties. A total of 6,14,029 voters will decide the fate of candidates.
