The trend of web series has loomed upon the Indian digital arena. Many filmmakers are resorting digital platforms to make web series as they don't have any time limits, can be divided into episodes and most importantly, will not have any censor restrictions. The trend has become quite prevalent in Telugu as well.
The other day, a new web series called 'Bhajana Batch' was announced. Touted to be a comedy entertainer, this show features many popular actors like Posani Krishna Murali, Getup Srinu, Gemini Suresh, Ajay Ghosh and Raghava in the important roles. It is conceptualized by director Maruthi and directed by B. Chinni Krishna.
Popular web channel Idream has bankrolled this show. Bhajana Batch will be streamed on Sony Liv and in the overseas, it can be watched on Yupp TV. This will be the first Telugu original series to be streamed on the popular digital platform, Sony Liv, which is owned by Sony Entertainment.
