Tirupati: A mega health camp organised by TTD for its employees and their families is aimed at for betterment of their health and subsequently enhance their work performances, said TTD Tirupati Joint Executive Officer (JEO) B Lakshmikantham.

Inaugurating the mega free health camp at the Central Hospital in TTD Administrative Building premises on Saturday morning, the JEO said healthy employees alone could deliver all services to Srivari devotees.

The free mega health camp was organised for employees, their families and also for retired employees in coordination with Central Hospital, Ashwini Hospital, SV Ayurveda Hospital, SVIMS, MSD and SRL hospitals. He said all tests and early diagnosis help employees for precautionary treatments.

TTD had roped in cardiologists, neurologists, urologists, gynaecologists, orthopaedic surgeons, dentists and other specialists at the mega camp. The JEO said all tests for ladies' ailments including mammogram, diabetes would be diagnosed at the camp with tests for blood sugar, BP, ultrasound conducted by experts.

A special awareness seminar was also organised at Mahati Auditorium on health reports and treatment, wellness diseases, exercises, yoga, diet etc. He also applauded all TTD departments, who coordinated and rolled out facilities for conducting the two-day free mega health camp.

SVIMS Director Dr PS Ravikumar said a mobile pink bus for providing tests and treatment for breast cancer among TTD women employees has been set up in the camp with the donations of the TTD Balaji Arogya Prasadini Scheme.

This advanced equipment would help to detect and diagnose mouth cancer, bone cancer and cancer in uterus, he stated and added for the first time in the State, the pink bus provided treatment for cancer. He urged TTD women employees to make good use of the opportunity. The SVIMS Director also conducted tests on JEO Lakshmikantham at the camp.

The CMO Dr Nageswar Rao directed officials to ensure supply of drinking water, coffee and tea to all those who came for tests. BIRRD in-charge Director Dr Venkata Reddy, SMO Dr RVS Muralidhar other officials, para medical staff and large number of TTD employees and their families participated.
