Covid-19 cases reached to 4,460 in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday adding 210 new cases which were out in last 24 hours. Coming to the toll due to the infection stood at 73.

Of the 210 new cases, which were reported in the last 24 hours in the state 161 are state residents and 41 were those who came from other states. Even 8 foreign returnees also tested positive.

The Andhra Pradesh state government stopped releasing any details about the new cases as new hotspots are emerging rapidly in almost every district.

'Jaggery town' Anakapalle near Visakhapatnam has turned into a new hotspot as 18 new Covid-19 cases were reported in a single day. Till now, Anakapalle was in the green zone but suddenly the situation turned upside down.

Coming to the state Secretariat, 5 more COVID-19 positive cases are added as employees of different departments tested were positive in the last 24 hours.

The Andhra Pradesh Secretariat has now turned into the latest hotspot for coronavirus even though the officials have taken needed measures and made it compulsory for all the employees and visitors to install 'Aarogya Setu' mobile App in their phones before for stepping in the premises.

Coming to the total case details in AP, so far 2,601 people are discharged from hospitals after treatment and there are a total of 1,786 active cases in the state. A total number of tests conducted in this state touched 4,36,335 with a positivity rate of 1.02 per cent.
