90% grievances arise from officials' inability: Advisor Ajeya Kallam
Principal Advisor to Chief Minister Ajeya Kallam has found out that the inability of the government officials to understand the orders and their duty charts and their inability to decide what to do and when to do are the main reasons for the 90 per cent of the grievances being reported in Spandana, the grievance redressal programme.

Participating in the 'Workshop on Sensitisation for Quality Redressal of Spandana Grievances' held for the Prakasam, Guntur and Nellore officials in Ongole on Saturday, Ajeya Kallam advised that an internal transformation is required for the government officials and they should attend the duties with responsive attitude and high moral values.
Ajeya Kallam opined that if the government officials could do their work with dedication for just one year, there will be no issues for the public. Public won't complain when the officials respond with an action plan to address their issues, he said.
Stating that officials should ensure delivery of services in a transparent manner, the Principal Advisor said that the government can gain confidence of public. He announced that the existing system has many problems and causing issues to the poor in receiving the welfare programme benefits.
To end the problems and see all welfare programmes reach the poor and needy, he said that the chief minister is working in a systematic way and the Spandana programme was one such measure in that direction.
Sounding a warning to the officials who are not following the system, he suggested them to change their working style. He ordered the officials to respond to the public grievances and redress them with commitment.
Director-General of Police Gautam Sawang said that the government is thriving to bring a change from the grassroot level. He said that everyone has equal rights and the chief minister is working to provide good services to all. He said that the police department is gaining the confidence of common people.
Women are also daring to come forward and complain about the injustice towards them. He declared that 52 per cent of the complaints received are from the women and it is symbolic that the police stations are public and women-friendly now. The police department is undergoing a change and the personnel are working in a friendly atmosphere, he said.
Spandana programme OSD Dr M Hari Krishna, MAUD commissioner GSRK Vijay Kumar, technical services IG G Paul Raj, SERP CEO P Rajababu, district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara, SP Siddharth Kaushal and others also participated in the programme.
