After a 82 day long lockdown imposed over the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam which has been successful in holding trial run for the past three days has started darshans for the common people on Thursday.

After an 82 day long lockdown imposed over the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam which has been successful in holding a trial run for the past three days has started darshans for the common people on Thursday. In the early hours, the VIP break darshans have held followed by the common people flocking to temples. As many as three thousand people have booked for darshan online for the day.

TTD officials are allowed only those who have tickets and has appealed them to containment zones and red zone not to flock to temple. The officials have set up a special lab at the temple to conduct COVID tests for the devotees who visit Srivari. Over 60,000 tickets were purchased online in the last 30 hours. Today three thousand devotees visit Srivari. The TTD staff is conducting thermal screening for devotees at Alipiri.

The devotees are entitled to follow COVID-19 regulations such as maintaining physical distancing and wearing masks to which the devotees are following strictly while visiting a temple.
