Amaravati: The arrival of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu to his Tadepalli residence from Hyderabad on Monday enthused the party's rank and file significantly on Monday.
Naidu, who was stuck in Hyderabad following the lockdown, has been attempting to reach Andhra Pradesh but could not do so due to lockdown restrictions.
He repeatedly sought the permission of the authorities to visit Visakhapatnam too after the styrene gas leak that led to the deaths of 11 persons and hospitalisation of several people in at least five villages. However, neither the Centre nor the state government could accord him permission which the TDP attributed to politics.
On Monday, Naidu left for Amaravati by road after obtaining permission from both the Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh governments.
He was accompanied by his son Nara Lokesh. Naidu was given a rousing reception by his party cadres en route and it was a tough time for the police to keep the cadres at bay at Undavalli.
He will be attending party's Mahanadu from Tadepalli itself, scheduled for May 27 and 28 .
TDP chief's political calendar will be full this week even as he chalks out his planning to keep the cadres on toes against the ruling dispensation.
It is said that he has veered around the opinion that offence is the best form of defence to take on the YSRCP which is aggressively attacking the TDP at every given opportunity.
Apart from LG Polymers issue, Naidu has his plate full with other issues like TTD lands' sale issue, developmental aspects, the issue of cases against citizens for being anti-government on social media, Covid-19, plight of farmers, electricity tariff hike, etc.,
