Anantapur: Chairman of Legislative Assembly Committee for Scheduled Castes Golla Baburao unveiled the portraits of the 'Constituent Assembly Committee' wherein the architect of the Indian constitution Dr B R Ambedkar was seen submitting the constitution book to members Dr Lal Bahadur Shastri, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Zakeer Hussein.

Local leaders MP Talari Rangaiah, MLA Anantha Venkatarama Reddy and District Collector Gandham Chandrudu were seen capturing selfies with the architects of Independent India. Speaking on the occasion, Golla Baburao observed that the portraits picturisation by the district administration pertained to the defining moments of the post-Independence period. Ambedkar's gift to the nation was the sacred book, the guiding force of India. His contribution for the cause of country was indispensable, Baburao said. District Collector Gandham Chandrudu described Ambedkar as a towering personality and the befitting tribute that one can pay to him was the realisation of his dreams of banishing untouchability and upliftment of socially and economically backward weaker sections of society and working for a casteless-society in letter and spirit.

MP Talari Rangaiah and MLA Anantha Venkatarama Reddy hailed B R Ambedkar as the tallest of the sons of India. They lauded collector Chandrudu for the initiative he took to portray the tallest of the sons of India on the walls of the city for educating the young generation of the country's rich and glorious past.
