Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha has said that the state government is giving top priority for health sector by spending adequate funds. He described YS Jagan Mohan Reddy regime as golden era for health sector in the state. Addressing press conference after inaugurating 104, 108 vehicles here on Thursday, the Deputy Chief Minister said that government has allocated Rs 200 crore worth 1008 Ambulances for 676 mandals covering entire state. Among them, 87 vehicles - (51 for 104 service and 36 for 108 service ) were allocated to Kadapa district.

He said that the newly allocated ambulances were designed with highly sophisticated technology like Advance Life Support(ALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neo-nates, Ventilator Incubator facilities which will help to save patients in emergency conditions besides saving the lives of mothers and children. District Collector Ch Harikiran said that the newly allocated ambulances will begin functioning from Friday in all mandals. He said a separate control room has been set up to monitor the functioning of the ambulances as people can avail the facility from 3rd July. Joint Collector Saikanth Varma (development) RDO Malola, Municipal Commissioner Lavanna, DM&HO Umasundari and others were present.
