It has decided to grant the pension within 5 days of after application provided they are eligible. The state government will roll out the process from June 1, which is being made available at the behest of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to ensure that all eligible persons are paid pensions. That amount be distributed to the beneficiary starting next month. With this new policy, the pension applicant will not have to shuttle around the mandals.

The application process will begin at the village secretariat and the papers are granted at the secretariat itself. Rajababu, CEO of SERP outlined the various steps in the new pension grant.

Here is the process for application of pension scheme

The person applying for the pension should submit the application either in person or in the village / ward secretariat through the village / ward volunteer.

At the time of application, all relevant certificates of eligibility should be submitted.

The digital assistant in the secretariat will receive the application, register the details online and give a receipt to the applicant.

The applicant will compare the details of the application with the details recorded in the government record. There are 9 levels to consider. A report will be prepared regarding that application.

The details will then be forwarded to the Welfare and Education Assistant at the Village and Ward Secretariat.

The Welfare and Education Assistant prepares a comprehensive report on the field.

The report will be submitted to the MPDO in rural areas and the municipal commissioner in urban areas.

The MPDOs and the municipal commissioners will thoroughly review all the reports and confirm eligibility and grant the pension.

Once the grants are returned to the Gram and Ward Secretariat, they are distributed to the beneficiary by a village volunteer.

This process can be completed within 5 days of the application process and will determine whether the applicant is eligible for pension.

If the pension is granted, the beneficiary will distribute the money from the next month.
