Ongole: The government is making all arrangements to encourage education and sports in the schools and colleges in the state, announced Minister for Energy, Forests, Environment, Science and Technology Balineni Srinivasa Reddy.

He participated as a chief guest to the valedictory function of 24th State level inter-polytechnic sports and games meet held at the PACE Institute of Science and Technology in Ongole on Wednesday.

The minister said that the chief minister has taken special initiative for the development of education and sports. He said that the government has taken measures to introduce English medium for the future benefit of students. He said that the chief minister wants to provide special skills also along with the education so that the youth gets employment opportunities immediately after college. He advised the players to take win and defeat as the same with the sportive spirit and appreciated the PACE college management for organizing the 3-day event with more than 1400 participants successfully.

The PACE College chairman and Darsi MLA Dr Maddisetty Venugopal said that the chief minister has put a focus on the development of the education sector too. He said that the government wants to establish skill development centres at the polytechnic colleges in the state.

The RJD of technical education SVU region V Padmarao, RJD of technical education AU region J Satyanarayana Murthy, secretary and correspondent of PACE College Dr M Sridhar, PACE College vice-chairman M Vasu, AP Polytechnic physical directors association president B Raghunatha Reddy, PACE polytechnic college principal J Sivanagaraju participated in the valedictory program.
