Amaravati: The APIIC resolved to have a uniform policy for Extension of Time for project implementation and accordingly rationalised the period, in its Board meeting.

APIIC Chairman, MLA RK Roja held the meeting on Monday at Mangalagiri.

Further Board has also resolved to have more parks for the MSME sector.

It decided to create 30 Lakh Sq. feet of good IT and other Industrial space with world-class plug and play infrastructure to foster industrial growth in the State.

The Board approved the construction of flat sheds & multi-storied factory sheds with power, water, STP and ETP etc., with plug and play facilities to enable the MSMEs to start their operations.

Areas like Hindupur in Anantapuramu District, Atchutapuram in Visakhapatnam, Naidupeta in Nellore District, EMC-II, Tirupathi in Chittoor District and Orvakal in Kurnool District are identified primarily.

Board resolved for development of auto-based multi-product SEZ at Madaksira, Hindupur of Anantapuramu District, in order to create an ecosystem for promotion of automobile, automobile components, R & D and design, taking the advantage of the existing automobile ecosystem in Erramanchi and Sricity in the vicinity of two international airports and close proximity of ports to Krishnapatnam, Ennuru, Chennai and Kattupalli ports for exports.

In addition to this Aerospace and Defense SEZ Board has resolved that set up a Defense Hub at Donakonda, Prakasam District which is strategically located for defence and aerospace manufacturing.
