APSRTC Chittoor region to operate 414 buses from today

The APSRTC has decided to increase the number of buses and also the routes in Chittoor district from Friday

Tirupati: The APSRTC has decided to increase the number of buses and also the routes in Chittoor district from Friday. Accordingly, APSRTC Chittoor region will operate 213 buses in 74 routes in the district from Friday.

It may be noted here that the RTC resumed its bus service on May 21 with 189 buses in 22 routes in the district and later gradually increased both the number of routes and also buses in tune with the increase in passenger flow which is increasing day by day.

APSRTC regional manager T Chengal Reddy said that the number of ground booking points at the bus stations will also be increased from 90 to 187 and reservation points also from the existing 7 to 11 for the convenient of the passengers.

He said all the precautionary measures against Covid-19 including frequent sanitisation of bus stations, depots and buses is being taken up while 24,000 masks were provided to the field staff including the bus drivers and the staff working in the

bus stations and 24 sanitisation machines were also set up in the bus stations, depots and offices.
