A team of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) on Thursday visited the labs and other facilities of JBM Group and LV Prasad Film and TV Academy (LVPA) and discussed the training of the apprentices recruited by the Corporation with the heads of various departments

Tadepalli: A team of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) on Thursday visited the labs and other facilities of JBM Group and LV Prasad Film and TV Academy (LVPA) and discussed the training of the apprentices recruited by the Corporation with the heads of various departments.

It may be recalled that the APSSDC has signed MoUs with JBM Group and LV Prasad Film and TV Academy in October and November 2020 respectively for establishing exclusive skill training centres in automotive and media and entertainment sectors respectively in the skill colleges to be set up by the Andhra Pradesh government.

During the visit, the team led by Managing Director and CEO Dr Arja Srikanth along with the Executive Director and the Chief General Manager discussed the action plan with the heads of the departments sought their support for key projects of the State.

JBM is ready to fill the manpower in all the domains including robotics, industrial automation, auto body repair, automobile technology, quality and treating. They will also recruit mechanical engineering graduates and also non-engineering graduates for their supply chain functions.

The first batch of diploma students trained by JBM and APSSDC at Sricity has joined the plant under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme on Thursday.

The LVPA will be imparting trainings on multimedia technologies like 3D animation, graphic design technology, film making, print media technology and others. A Centre of Excellence will be established at the proposed skill development college at Visakhapatnam.
