Amaravati: Following instructions from Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, a team of delegates of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) headed by chairman Challa Madhusudan Reddy visited the Viswakarma Skill University run by Haryana state government at Gurugram on Monday.

It may be recalled that the state government is contemplating to establish a skill university on similar lines. Managing director and CEO of APSSDC Dr Arja Srikanth, officers Satyaprabha and Aravind also accompanied the chairman.

Prof V C H Raj Nehru, vice-chancellor of the university and other professors showed the team around the university and the APSSDC team had an interaction with the students of various trades. They were also apprised of various training programmes being run on their campus.

Madhusudan Reddy said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to establish a skill university in AP with a cluster of 25 multi-skill centres, one each in every parliamentary constituency. Expressing satisfaction over the visit, the chairman said that the visit would help them to implement their plans to establish a skill university in AP. Srikanth Arja said that the team would visit Bharateeya Skill University at Jaipur in Rajasthan on Tuesday.
