Chittoor: Superintendent of Police S Senthil Kumar instructed the police officials to get ready for the conduct of elections to local bodies, municipal corporations and municipalities in the district. The SP held monthly crime review meeting at Police Guest House on Friday.
Addressing the police officers, SP reiterated that police have to improve their relations with people. ``Spandana programme plays a vital role and officials have to strive to redress the grievances of the people without delay,'' he said. The SP further said that police should strive for reducing road accidents. Efforts should be made for controlling the Drunk and drive offenders. He instructed the police officers to file non bailable cases against the red sanders smugglers. Additional SPs D N Mahesh ( Admin ), K Krishnarjuna Rao ( operations ), K R Chandramouly ( Armed Reserve ) and DSPs P Sudhakara Reddy ( SB), K Eswara Reddy ( Chittoor ) and others were present.
