Death of RK is nothing but murder by government, allege family members
The government has conspired to kill Maoists by restricting their access to medicines, treatment and food, alleged Sirisha alias Padma alias Nirmala, wife of the Maoist Akkiraju Haragopal, popularly known as RK and Ramakrishna.
Ongole: The government has conspired to kill Maoists by restricting their access to medicines, treatment and food, alleged Sirisha alias Padma alias Nirmala, wife of the Maoist Akkiraju Haragopal, popularly known as RK and Ramakrishna. Speaking at Alakurapadu village in Tanguturu Mandal of Prakasam district, after the CPI (Maoist) Party confirming the death of RK on Friday, she announced that fighters like RK will not die in the hearts of the people, and many more RKs will come forward to continue the legacy.
The Alakurapadu village, where Sirisha and her relatives including Virasam leader G Kalyana Rao are living, turned gloomy after the death of Ramakrishna broke out in media, on Thursday evening. The family members, Virasam leaders and supporters of the Maoist leader announced that they won't believe the news unless the CPI (Maoist) Party officially confirms it. They mentioned incidents of the past when similar hoax news spread and how the Maoist leader announced that he is hale and hearty. But after the confirmation of RK's death by CPI (Maoist) Party central committee spokesperson Abhay, the family members accepted it.
Speaking to the press at her home, Sirisha announced that people like RK are rare, even in the common people. She said that the ideologies of her husband have inspired many people, and would continue to inspire more. She claimed that Ramakrishna was proud of their son, Pruthvi alias Munna, who was killed in an encounter with greyhounds at Ramaguda in AOB in October 2016, for becoming an inspiration. She opined that due to their untiring fight for decades, the Maoists are able to bring change in the society and the view of the public. She said that the government is controlling the access of medicines, food and better treatment to the Maoists in the forest, making them suffer and die eventually, and called it Adharmayuddham. She warned that the death of one Maoist will raise one hundred people to follow their path.
G Kalyana Rao, a relative of Sirisha and Virasam leader, said that Ramakrishna fought against the anti-public decisions of the government and has achieved an unmovable place in the hearts of the public. He opined that if timely treatment and medicines have available, RK would have been survived. He announced that Ramakrishna is martyred for the public and his sacrifices would not go to waste in future.
The Virasam president Arasavilli Krishna, assistant secretary Aravind Babu alias Rivera, Pinakapani and other leaders from the Virasam, public rights organizations also visited the home of Sirisha and consoled her on Friday. They demanded the government to stop waging war against the own citizens of the country, in the name of Operation Samadhan. They alleged that the central and state governments are spending lakhs of crores of rupees to end leaders of the revolution, natives and other people in the forests. They said that apart from the use of paramilitary forces, the government brought military from the borders to kill the people of the land, just to put hands-on resources there. They said that the RK is not just a revolutionist, but he is a leader of people, and inspire them with his ideologies.
