A depression over northwest Bay of Bengal of north Odisha and West Bengal coasts moved west-northwestwards with a speed of about 04 kmph in last six hours

Amaravati: A depression over northwest Bay of Bengal of north Odisha and West Bengal coasts moved west-northwestwards with a speed of about 04 kmph in last six hours and lay centred at 11.30 pm on Tuesday, informed officials at RTGS, in secretariat on Wednesday.

It is located about 100 km southeast of Balasore (Odisha) and about 90 km south-southeast of Digha (West Bengal). It is very likely to intensify into a Deep Depression during next 12 hours.

It is very likely to move west northwestwards and cross north Odisha - West Bengal coasts near Balasore by Noon of 7th August 2019.

Warning: Light to moderate rainfall at most places, with heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places very likely over north Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on 7th August.

Heavy to extremely heavy rain over Odisha and Chattisgarh.
