Vijayawada: Former Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao visited Goshala at Tadepalli where about 100 cows died mysteriously on Sravana Shukravam and said that the government should respond immediately on the deaths.

Speaking to media on Sunday, Umamaheswara Rao said that the state government should track all the Goshalas across the state and keep a watch on them. On supply of sand, he recalled that under the TDP regime the government has given sand free of cost and flayed "inefficiency" of YSRCP government for failure to do so now.

He alleged that YSRCP leaders demanded Rs 5 per cement bag from the cement companies. Failing to extract money, they have created artificial shortage of sand. He said that within three months, people were vexed with the governance of YSRCP. Employees started to protest against the government as it is stalling all the projects and cancelling tenders in the state, said Umamaheswara Rao.
