Guntur: The rush of the devotees started at the Trikoteshwara Swamy temple at Kotappakonda in Guntur district from the early hours on Thursday on the eve of Maha Shivaratri on Friday. The devotees are visiting the temple to perform special puja. The officials of the temple have made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of the devotees to visit the temple.

Devasthanam authorities will perform Ekadasa Rudrabhishekam and Laksha Bilwarchana since early morning. The premises of the temple was decorated with lightings. A large number of pandals were set up in the temple. The Devastanam authorities prepared prasadam.

The police officials have already rushed to Kotappakonda to provide security to the devotees who visit the temple. Dog squads, bomb disposable squads, special branch, blue colts, and the personnel of APSP were deployed in large numbers at Kotappakonda.

District Collector I Samuel Anand Kumar and Guntur rural Superintendent of Police Ch Vijaya Rao reviewed the arrangements made for Maha Shivaratri at Kotappakonda. Devotees across the state will visit the temple. The APSRTC is operating special buses for the convenience of the devotees visit the temple from various depots in the district.
