Devotees throng Siva temples to mark Karthika Somavaram in Guntur

Many devotees took a holy dip in river Krishna at Amaralingeswara temple and performed pujas to the presiding deity Amaralingeswara Swamy seeking blessings of the god to fulfill their wishes. Devotees believe that if they perform abhishekam to Amaralingeswara Swamy, they will get relief from problems caused by planets.

The temple authorities set up queue lines for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple and decorated the temple with lights.

Special pujas and abhishekams were performed in Trikoteswara Swamy temple at Kotappakonda also. The authorities performed Abhishekams and Bilwachana since morning at the temple. A large number of devotees visited the temple seeking blessings of Lord Trikoteswara Swamy.

Special Pujas were performed to Ganga Bramarambasametha Malleswara Swamy at Pedakakani in Guntur district on Monday. Several devotees visited the temple and performed Abhishekams and special pujas to Mallikarjuna Swamy.

Devotees also performed pujas to Rahu and Ketu planets in the temple. Similarly, special pujas were performed to lord Siva in Sivalayams on the occasion of Karthika Somavaram.
