District admin prepared for municipal elections in Kakinada

Kakinada: District Collector D Muralidhar Reddy instructed the officials concerned to get ready for holding elections to the municipal corporation in the East Godavari district. State Election Commissioner N Ramesh Kumar conducted videoconference with district officials on Friday.
The Collector along with SP participated on the occasion.
The District Collector said that there are seven municipal corporations and three Panchayats in the district. He said that the arrangements are already in place in one municipal corporation in the district.
The Collector ordered district officials to get ready for municipal elections in the district. He further said that 8.5 lakhs voters will participate in the election.
They identified 996 polling stations in the district.
He said that they prepared for the election code as well as bandobasth in the district. District officials G Nagaraju, Ch Narasimha Rao, S Rambabu and others were present.
