Fire accident at boat building yard in East Godavari district

In the fire accident that took place at Ramannapalem private boat building yard in U-Kothaplli Mandal of East Godavari to day at early hours, two fishing boats at final stages of construvtion were completely burnt(damaged).

The owners of these two boats estimste the losses to Rs 70 lakh and also suspect it as act of sabatage.
Fire services staff attended to the call.
However East Godavari DFO, Ch.Ratna Babu suspect that the fire mishap might have occured while mixing two chemicals to make a paste for applying to boat joints. We will obtain openion of chemical experts to come to a conclusion on the reasons for fire accident, the DFO clarified.
