First danger warning issued at Prakasam Barrage

Vijayawada: The officials have issued first danger warning at Prakasam Barrage in the early hours on Wednesday. The inflow into the barrage is 4,52,000 cusecs and outflow is 4,28,000 cusecs.

With the heavy inflows, all 70 gates have been lifted to a height of 3 feet and releasing the floodwater out. As a precautionary measure, an alert has been given in low-lying delta Lanka villages along the Krishna river downstream.
