Tirumala: The TTD Forest wing personnel brought the fire under control on Saturday, that broke out two days back in Chamala Reserve forest between Kalyani dam and Tirumala hills. TTD JEO KS Srinivasa Raju asserted that the TTD forest officials have successfully contained the fire.
The JEO, who inspected the affected region near Dharmagiri on Saturday said that forest fire was identified in the Seshachala range under government jurisdiction from Chamala range spreading towards TTD forest area and necessary preventive steps were taken up. In all, the fire damaged about 50 acres of TTD forest before fire staff brought it under control.
