Guntur: The former Guntur district Collector B Ramanjaneyulu is contesting the elections as TDP MLA candidate from Kodumur Assembly constituency in Kurnool district.

The Telugu Desam Party has declared Kodumur MLA ticket to a former IAS officer. In the second list that party has announced the ticket to Ramanjaneyulu.

In fact, Ramanjaneyulu tried to contest from anywhere, for which he has also chosen Tadikonda, Prathipadu Assembly, and Bapatla, Tirupati Parliament constituencies.

But finally, the TDP high command has declared Ramanjaneyulu an MLA ticket from his native Kurnool district, Kodumur constituency. CM Chandrababu Naidu has introduced Ramanjaneyulu at Kurnool public meeting on Tuesday.

From 2009 - 2012 Ramanjaneyulu served as Guntur district Collector. After the state bifurcation, he continued as Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Commissioner at Velagapudi in Navyandhra Pradesh. It's said that Ramanjaneyulu has a good relationship with Minister Nara Lokesh.

In 2009 elections his son-in-law Maddala Rajesh has won as Congress MLA from Chintalapudi SC Assembly constituency. Even in 2014 elections his daughter also contested from Chintalapudi from YSRCP but was defeated by the TDP candidate.

Now for the first time, Ramanjaneyulu has entered into the active politics and contesting as a TDP MLA candidate from Kodumur constituency.
