As part of the local body elections preparation, the state government has finalized the Zilla Parishad (ZP) chairman reservations.
As part of the local body elections preparation, the state government has finalized the Zilla Parishad (ZP) chairman reservations. Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Commissioner Girija Shankar issued the Gazette notification, finalizing the 13 districts' reservations. The district collectors will send a list of district-wise reservations to the state election commission to this extent.
The government had earlier decided to hold the elections for MPTC and ZPTC on 21st, while for municipalities on the 24th and for the gram panchayats on the 27th respectively.
