Ongole: The Ongole Telugu Desam Party, AIDWA, and other organizations demanded that the government do justice to the family of the disabled volunteer Bhuvaneswari and find out the miscreants who murdered her.

Speaking at the district party office, the Ongole parliamentary constituency president Dr Nukasani Balaji said that the volunteer Ummasani Bhuvaneswari was found dead and her body in a burnt state on Friday night, but the post mortem was not done until Saturday evening. He suspected that efforts might be made to silence the police and doctors to cover the murder.

He said that the women, disabled, Dalits, and downtrodden people lost security and protection ever since the YSRCP formed government in the State. He said that the government has no commitment to the welfare of the women, if it has it would have got the Disha Act approved by replying to the objections by the Union government.

He said that though the woman got a job in a corporate bank in Hyderabad, she wanted to look after her family and settled for the volunteer post in Ongole. He demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 1 crore to the bereaved family and arrest the murderers.

The AIDWA Ongole secretary Kankanala Ramadevi demanded the police to identify and punish the murderers of Bhuvaneswari. She said that the woman was working as a volunteer in the 7th division and her body was found burning in flames on the Dasarajupalli route. She demanded that the police must take special action in identifying the culprits and punish them severely.

She also demanded the police to install CC cameras on the suburb roads and increase patrol on them.
