IFAD team visits Ramakuppam, Gudipalli mandals
A team from International Fund for Agriculture Development (IIFAD), along with the State and District Project Management Units, WASSAN Lead Technical Agency visited Ramakuppam and Gudipalli mandals where AP Drought Mitigation Project (APDMP) is implemented in Chittoor district, on Saturday.
Tirupati: A team from International Fund for Agriculture Development (IIFAD), along with the State and District Project Management Units, WASSAN Lead Technical Agency visited Ramakuppam and Gudipalli mandals where AP Drought Mitigation Project (APDMP) is implemented in Chittoor district, on Saturday.
City based Rashtriya Seva Samithi is the lead facilitating agency of APDMP implemented in select mandals in Chittoor district. The visiting representatives of IFAD . Marie Aude Even, Senior Technical Specialist and IFAD Sub regional hub and Varsha Mehatha, Livestock Specialist, Dr Kula Sekhar and Anuradha of State Project Management Unit are in the visiting team.
The team visited project activities viz., Rearers Field Schools, Bio Resource Centers, Farmer Field Schools, Community Managed Seed Systems and also visited the offices of Farmer Producer Orgaisations (FPOJ).
The team also interacted with the Board of Directors of FPOs, farmers and women stakeholders. The team also interacted with Dr.G Muniratnam, Founder General Secretary of RASS and appreciated the services being rendered by RASS.
