TDP MLC Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad served his resignation on last Tuesday before the three capital bill had tabled in the council. He made sensational comments over his resignation. He said that he had to resign as his opinion on three capitals differs from the party's stand. Also, he said he kept away from council proceedings not to drag himself into the chaos of the house.

On the other hand, the former minister has expressed his opinion on the abolition of the Legislative Council. He said it is unfortunate to dissolve the council.

The TDP leader has said that he had seen the plight of the Amaravati farmers who gave the lands for the construction of capital and made it clear that he would stand by them until the justice is met.
