Jagan policies aimed at recovering loot, says Vijayasai
1. Brushes aside criticism of CM’s policies by the TDP, State BJP leaders as ‘ill-informed attack’.
2. Says Jagan had sought prior permission of PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to launch reverse tendering and review power purchase agreements.
New Delhi: YSRCP Parliamentary Party leader V Vijaysai Reddy here on Wednesday brushed aside the criticism of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's policies by the TDP and BJP leadership in AP as 'ill informed attack" claiming that Jagan was ushering in changes in governance in 'full consultation' with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Vijaysai Reddy said those attacking the government policies on tenders and PPAs' should know that those were aimed at recovering all the looted money in the past. There was large-scale corruption in every area and Jagan had kept the Centre posted of the same.
He had informed the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister Amit Shah about his plans to do away with corruption. He also sought their permission to initiate reverse tendering and review the power project agreements.
"The Chief Minister has ushered in the changes with their consent and hence there was no grain of truth in the campaign of the TDP and its friendly media," he said.
Defending the US tour of Jagan, he said an ignorant Nara Lokesh and other TDP leaders were unable to digest their defeat in the elections and had launched a twitter campaign. Jagan's tour was meant to attract investments and to safeguard AP's interests. Vijaysai Reddy earlier led a team of his party's MPs' to the Union Minister, Piyush Goyal to seek his cooperation in completing all pending railway projects. He said the Minister had assured full cooperation in the matter.
