Kadapa: Following directions of the state government, the district administration has shifted as many as 1450 migrant labourers to Uttar Pradesh through Sramic train on Saturday.

Joint Collector M Gouthami along with RDO Malola and other officials given a send-off to the migrant labourers in the late evening on Saturday. The migrant labourers were provided food packets, water, sanitisers and masks.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Collector M Gouthami said that after multiple tests proved negative at quarantine centre, the migrant labourers were permitted to go to their native places. She said that Rs 13 lakh was spent for the purpose. Several officials were present.
