Badvel police arrested ATM custodians for misusing Rs 60.50 lakh company money and recovered TVS motorcycle, Rs 10 lakh cash, Rs 7 lakh worth bonds from them on Sunday.

The accused were identified as A Bashir, Syed Ahmad of Sastrinagar, Chinna Venkata Subbaiah of Tiruvengalaya nagar of Badvel town.
Speaking to media persons, Mydukuru DSP Vijayakumar said that the accused were working as ATM custodians in Badvel-based Writers Business Services Company limited for the past few years.
He said that the company has fixed them responsibility of placing cash in 12 ATMs both Nellore district and Badvel of Kadapa district.
In this connection, during the lockdown period, the accused have misused the money without depositing it in the ATMs. However, the company has identified the misusing of money during audit as the branch head Muralikrishna lodged complaint in Badvel police station suspecting the involvement of accused.
The DSP said among the three accused, Chinna Venkata Subbaiah who used Rs 20 lakh committed suicide after incident came to light. The DSP said police arrested remaining two accused on the outskirts of Badvel town.
