Kadapa: Land for medical college inspected
The state government plans to establish a medical college in Pulivendula Town
Kadapa: With the State government planning to establish a medical college in Pulivendula Town, Collector Ch Harikiran along with Pulivendula Area Development Authority Officer on Special Duty Anil Kumar Reddy along with Tahsildar Srinivasulu inspected 22 acres of land near Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Polepalle village on Wednesday. According to sources, the Chief Minister is likely to lay foundation stone for medical college during his visit to town on January 26.
During his recent visit, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the Pulivendula Area Development Authority and other officials concerned to ensure suitable land for the medical college.
According to sources, the Chief Minister is keen to develop Pulivendula constituency on the lines of his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy by spending adequate funds for it. It may be recalled that the Central government established Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) during the regime of YSR at Idupulapaya in Pulivendula constituency.
