Kapus demand Kanigiri seat for Baburao
The Prakasam district unit of Akhila Bharata Kapu Samakhya warned the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) against doing injustice to Kapus in the district
Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of Akhila Bharata Kapu Samakhya warned the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) against doing injustice to Kapus in the district.
The unit demanded that the TDP change its decision about Kanigiri seat and offer the ticket to the sitting MLA Kadiri Baburao or lose the opportunity to win in four seats in the district, where considerable Kapus exist.
Speaking at a meeting held in Ongole on Sunday, the district Kapu leaders Sravani Venkateswarlu, Bellamkonda Srinivasa Rao, Dr Ramaiah Naidu, U Haribabu, Paparao, Pavali Tirupataiah, Vellamsetty Baburao, and others said that YSRCP and Jana Sena are offering two of the 12 tickets in the district to Kapus.
They alleged that the TDP, which claims that it is in favour of Kapus is against giving the ticket to Kanigiri sitting MLA Kadiri Baburao, instead of offering four tickets in the district.
They demanded that the TDP change its decision and not allot the Kanigiri ticket to the newly joined. If the TDP acts against their wish, it should be ready to face ire of Kapus.
They said that if the TDP continues with its decision to not give the ticket to Kadiri Baburao, it will face a hard time in Darsi, Kanigiri, Parchuru, Giddalur Assembly constituencies and Ongole parliamentary constituency.
