The nine day Karthika Brahmotsavam of Goddess Sri Padmaathi Devi came to end with Panchami theertham, performance of sacred bath to the deity on the banks of temple tank Padma Sarovar on Sunday.
Tirupati: The nine-day Karthika Brahmotsavam of Goddess Sri Padmaathi Devi came to end with Panchami theertham, performance of sacred bath to the deity on the banks of temple tank Padma Sarovar on Sunday.
Marking the occasion Chakrasnanam, immersion of the holy disc Chakrathalwar in the Pushkarini, temple tank was conducted by the priests amidst chanting of verses from Scriptures.
Tens of thousands of devotees more so women from across the country participated in Panchami theertham , taking a holy dip in the waters of the temple tank Padma Sarovar.
TTD along with Tirupati Urban police made elaborate arrangements which saw the smooth conduct of Chakrasnanam performed on Panchami day.
