Kartika Vanabhojanam organised in Tirumala
TTD organised Kartika Vana Bhojanam in a grand manner at the Parveta mandapam in Tirumala on Sunday.
Tirupati: TTD organised Kartika Vana Bhojanam in a grand manner at the Parveta mandapam in Tirumala on Sunday. Earlier lord Malayappaswamy and his consorts were taken on Gaja Vahanam from Srivari temple to Parveta mandapam where Snapana Thirumanjanam (celestial bath) was performed to the deities.
Later Kartheeka Vanabhojanam was conducted from 1pm to 3 pm wherein thousands of devotees were served delicious variety of Anna Prasadam to the accompaniment of Annamacharya sankeertans from artistes of Annamacharya project and it was followed by harikatha Parayanam.
The TTD had cancelled all Arjita sevas in view of Vanabhojanam. Srivari temple DyEO Harindranath, DyEO Nagaratna, VGO Manohar and others participated. Brahmana Samajam conducts Vana Bhojanam Meanwhile, Tirupati Brahmana Samajam organised Vana Bhojam for its members at Spring Dale Public School in Tirupati on Sunday.
The social event began with pooja followed by a discourse by Sanskrit Scholar Chakravarthy Raghavan. Games and cultural events were held to mark the occasion. TBS president Bhimas Raghu, secretary K Ajaykumar and others were present.
